Overview

TrustForge is a desktop application designed with privacy as a core principle. Your sensitive estate planning data never leaves your machine. This Privacy Policy explains the minimal data we collect through our website and how it is used.

Data Stored by the Application

We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your estate planning data. All trust documents, personal information, entity records, assets, clauses, and encryption keys are stored locally on your device using AES-256-GCM field-level encryption. TrustForge operates fully offline and does not send your data to any server.

Data Collected by the Website

The only data retained by the TrustForge website is:

  • Purchase records — Your email address, Stripe session ID, payment amount, and timestamp. This is stored to verify your purchase and provide download links.
  • Newsletter subscriptions — Your email address and subscription preferences (e.g., v2 updates, enterprise info). This is stored only if you voluntarily subscribe.

No other personal data is collected, tracked, or stored by our servers. We do not use analytics trackers, advertising pixels, or third-party data collection services.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, bank account details, or other payment credentials on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information: stripe.com/privacy.

Demo Downloads

The free trial download does not require an account or email. We detect your operating system from your browser's user-agent string to serve the correct installer, but this information is not stored.

Cookies & Local Storage

The website uses localStorage solely to remember your dark/light mode preference. No tracking cookies are used.

Data Retention

Purchase records and subscriber emails are retained indefinitely to maintain license validity and subscription preferences. You may request deletion of your email from our records at any time by contacting trustforge-app@proton.me.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Stripe — Payment processing
  • Google Fonts — Font delivery (Inter typeface). Google may receive your IP address when loading fonts. See: policies.google.com/privacy
